I think it's when he says goodbye at the end of OBW, but chapter 8 is the second most pivotal event for me. :) (Both are final, somehow. Whether it be Babbie who reanimates Horn with his extra soul, or the neighbor tree the island might be composed of, or the greenbuck, something reanimates him)
