yeah, and this is the kind of statement you can ignore if nothing else supports it, but when you really look at it were she says "you're REALLY my OLDER sister", she isn't just saying you feel like my sister, she's saying that even though you are obviously half my age I feel you are really counterintuitively my older sister.  If you try to make sense of it you are opening a whole can of worms that has to factor in how Chenille is a step sister to Silk but not genetically related, how she looks like Auk, how Mint is concerned for Auk, how Tussah looks like Chenille, it leaves you a great big headache mess, and how Mint is somewhat associated with Echidna but Chenille is associated with Kypris, who was grown from what embryo.  

This stuff is WAY less straightforward than the consistent familial talk the text was hinting at earlier, and thankfully easier to push under the rug, oh yeah, she was just saying that like, you feel like my big old sister cause you are huge!  

I'm sure somewhere Wolfe has a little note card that can explain some of this, even if it is just a family tree with a few equal signs thrown in.
