Note that "The Dunwich Horror," one of the finest HPL tales (S.T.  
Joshi, usually quite good, totally misses the mark here; Ken Hite  
nails it in his "Tour de Lovecraft"), is something of a reprise of a  
well-known story about the offspring of (a) God and a human woman.
