There are however questions of scale that can make them practically 
inaccessible.

Also, it's more like "Science catches up to Anderson's _Tau Zero_"  or 
Lee and Kirby's _Fantastic Four_", as both featured means of 
side-stepping the grand gnab into new universes ten years before the 
Book appeared.
