Ah.  I'm currently re-reading Urth, so I'll look for that.  Maybe, then,
that is evidence that it's the Increates will at work after all, since that
seems to be the future Sev has helped to create, despite the Hirogrammates
aims, but I'll comment more (maybe!) when I've finished the read.
