I think the point was though that Wolfe relishes and draws on the 
oddities and fantasies of Herodotus, which may be dismissed as 
unhistorical by modern scholars. So Herodotus may be in some ways 
more "infomative" when reading Wolfe than a 'but this is what 
actually happened' account.
