Now that is definitely a wicked twist! 

But I still don't understand the focus on Ares. Marcus
acknowledged that besides Ares, Zeus and Hermes are also
not present in the story so far. Although actually I *do*
believe Ares has made an appearance in SoA as Pleistorus.

Furthermore, in "Soldier of the Mist" Latro is more often
associated with Dionysus than Ares.
Is it because Latro is a soldier? Well, he is also a thief
(via his name) and a writer and a lover
and a wizard (creating Draikana).
