I'm not sure that Garvaon's sacrifice would have been
appreciated by Idnn had she known of it.  In fact, I'm
pretty confident she would find it reprehensible and
offensive.  Garvaon's motivation is selfish.  He
redeems himself in battling Setr.  Had he died in
almost any other way, I doubt he would have been
raised to Skai.  One interesting theme that runs
throughout the Wizard Knight is that of redemption, of
second (and sometimes even third and fourth) chances.
