It's possible that they were in contact with elements of MainFrame.  Or that<br>
they lurked in the tunnels and contacted only selected individuals.<br>

Where are we told that anyone becomes 'infected' by Inhumi?<br>

As for where they launched from, it's seems reasonable to hypothesise that<br>
they collected immature Inhumi from Green, but I don't know why that would<br>
imply that they could not have come originally from Blue.  Why not just<br>
assume that the expedition was most likely launched from whichever planet<br>
had the greater industrial complex?<br>
