Shadow Children are certainly material (they can be eaten), and in fact – as is
explained to us - they are descendents of human explorers. As for the
inhumi, I think the same applies as elsewhere in the Solar cycle: Wolfe doesn’t
worry too much about making his science realistic, but inhumi like other
creatures are ultimately to be considered physical and obeying physical
laws.</DIV></DIV>
