initio that Rudesind and Dorcas’s husband resemble Father Inire, even if they
are old and short like a million other human men of Nessus, and therefore no
reason to suppose that Wolfe would avoid mentioning it.</DIV>

in disguise, he is wearing a mask that entirely covers his head. The
likely implication is that Inire is identifiable as a cacogen when his face is
visible. Does the text suggest anywhere that Inire can convincingly pass
for human when his face is not hidden? [He does communicate with Agia, as
noted in his letter, but there he implies that enhanced interrogative techniques
