The UK paperback covers for TWK are indeed awful, though at least they have newly commissioned artwork, unlike Gollancz's one-volume New Sun, titled "Severian of the Guild" and bearing the exact same mediocre cover artwork as the older SF Masterworks edition of The Fifth Head of Cerberus! Not that that cover looked any better on Fifth Head, but still the laziness is appalling.<div>

<br></div><div>Anyone know if this alternate cover of AEG ever saw release anywhere? I quite like it, even if it's not necessarily a perfect fit for the book it's supposed to represent.</div><div><a href="http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/w/gene-wolfe/evil-guest.htm">http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/w/gene-wolfe/evil-guest.htm</a> </div>
