<P><FONT face=Arial>It is true that the House Absolute is not in Nessus. So all
that is beside the point. But the Asciians control the region north of the
equator where Severian tells us everything is backwards: the freezing caps there
are in the North (can you imagine?) and the warmer weather is in the
South.</FONT></P>
