As noted in an earlier discussion of the Rubaiyat appearing in the
forematter of URTH, the English translation considerably differs from
the original. Wolfe credits translator Fitzgerald rather than Omar
Khayyam, and in *his* forematter, Fitzgerald calls it transmogrified
rather than translated.
