swindles in the art world and otherwise certainly make imitation a major
theme.  The libraries echo quite a bit in Fifth Head, Peace, and New Sun as
well - in Peace, Weer used to actually frolic in the upper rooms because
his family owned it (they came on hard times).

As a side note, when I first thought of my Latro story, I was going to have
Mr. Gold write a forged ending for Latro and try to sell it, but I settled
on a much more supernatural plot device, discarding Apu'at/wepwawet as the
villain as well.
