Also, the transformation of wine to blood is a definitely a bit more literal in one of those communion scenes than the other, diabolical one.  Though they are both , how should I say, consumptive in nature.  In the second case it ties into the theme of Hyacinthus' transformation, the concluding imagery of the sun books, blood back to vegetative.
