(urth) Claw = Fang?

It occurred to me that the Claw as a physical artifact bears some resemblance to a fang - I'm thinking specifically of a serpent's fang. Which naturally suggests the depiction of Satan as a serpent, the Garden of Eden etc ... as far as I can see this doesn't really fit into the theology/symbology of the BotNS but it's curious if you think about it - has anyone else pursued this line?
