I'm somewhat guilty of this myself. I run fantasy roleplaying games, and
after a while it becomes second nature to couch prophecies and oracles
figurative language and to use unreliable characters as mouth pieces so
that when a player figures out a consistent explanation, I can run with
it as if I had totally planned it that way all along.
