They have indicated that the brother's name was indeed Samuel. Most people
seem to have forgotten that LOST was, at heart, a mystery show. Mystrery
is what made the show what it was; to solve all the mysteries would have
cut the heart out of the show. I just hope those "TV" writers inspired by
LOST will write original shows in the future.
