I disagree. Fae _are_ alien, and there is definitely a tradition of
their abducting humans. (The class example would probably be the
ballad of Tam Lin.) Modern alien abduction stories are merely a
continuation of that tradition in a culture that has by-and-large lost
belief in the Fae as such.
