It could have happened at any time the night chough perched in front of 
the right sacred window or monitor. It would have happened before Silk's 
story began. But evidence that Pas was talking through Oreb would be 
interesting.

No. He's been wiped from the Mainframe. But there are still parts of him 
in hiding all over the Whorl. We know he was possessing the old patera 
that Auk retrieves for Pas's resurrection. And we know that Pas had the 
power to keep the patera alive beyond the means of his body. Pas could 
easily hide in a disconnected Sacred Window or monitor for years. Or Pas 
could have fled into Oreb during the period that his family was hunting 
him, just as Scylla did.
