Well, in priniciple I agree. But why should the Vanished People be the ultimate

goal for humanity? They are hairy (like goats?) and tribal and have that weird 

indeterminacy like Shadow Children. They have dreamtime like Australian aborigines

(and Shadow Children). And giant sea gods live in the oceans of their world.

 

Surely the most noble of noble savage tribes is still a spiritual step below that

of Christians in a book by a Christian author. Shouldn't there be a Christ sometime

in the future of Briah. Would Wolfe really have created a universe in which there is

eternally no hope for true salvation?
