Interesting. I wasn't ready for a lot of their work then. In fact, it was
probably in seventh or eight grade that I bounced off Lord of Light (though I
enjoyed it some years later).

The other definitive moment is when Corwin creates the new pattern from his
memories of a "shadow", Earth, not Amber. One of my favorite moments in
fiction. (Only I wish it had been Cleveland instead of Paris.)
Anyway, I agree with you completely, and thanks for "trapped in Amber". But I
also think that this is an excellent example of a gun not going off. The other
example I was thinking of may have been the end of Malafrena--no revolution,
nothing between Itale and Piera--though perhaps that's not quite as good.
