(urth) Wolfe covers

I quite like that cover on Fifth Head.  At least it passes the train test.  (The colours in the image you link to are horribly washed out compared to the version I have - it's as if the were photoshopped to convert night to day or something...)

  The UK paperback covers for TWK are indeed awful, though at least they have newly commissioned artwork, unlike Gollancz's one-volume New Sun, titled "Severian of the Guild" and bearing the exact same mediocre cover artwork as the older SF Masterworks edition of The Fifth Head of Cerberus! Not that that cover looked any better on Fifth Head, but still the laziness is appalling.

  Anyone know if this alternate cover of AEG ever saw release anywhere? I quite like it, even if it's not necessarily a perfect fit for the book it's supposed to represent.
