Also, the Whorl is not going to "just be there". It's going to leave and 
carry to the heavens the patriotic aspirations of the Urth. And Typhon 
becomes "The Calde Who Returned Us to the Stars".

But since he died shortly after and Urth was soon divided into regions 
of alien influence, it all was irrelevant.
