This is a valid argument Lee, but it being Wolfe I have to ask myself does
he mean it to be God (probably) or is he speaking more of the Hierogrammates
themselves; if only an allegory for a theological truth as Wolfe sees it
then we can simply count it as such and simply file it away (as if anything
with Wolfe is ever that simple.  However if the message comes from the
divine, the Hierogrammates, I think it could be that their message is a
means to *their* own end in their existence as an end result, more cyclical
thinking.
