But a mountain peak would be far away, while the top of the wall is right at
the city.  When the sun is less than 30 degrees above the horizon, the
shadow of a 9 mile wall would be over 15 miles long.  You would have a
shorter day if you lived near the wall.  Real estate values would suffer.
