Agnosticism is the word for being without *knowledge* of divinity. It
is not a rejection of belief.

I am agnostic about whether ancient civilisations were contacted by
aliens. I have to be: I wasn't there. But, separately to that, I don't
believe that it happened, because the alternative arguments are more
convincing to me.
