Severian's Autarch.  He can decorate his place any time.  He and Rudesind
have been talking about the time they met before, and Severian thanks him.

It does?  How?  Without making reference to another speculation, please,
show me how in the text time acts differently on Rudesind, and how he is
"unbelievably ancient" rather than "old."

There is no doubt that Severian subscribes to the two-Severians theory at
the end of Citadel.  There's no need to read tea-leaves on it--he comes out
and says he believes in it.
