Is he also an aquastor/eidolon at the time he finds the skull, though? 
Presumably an aquastor can be tuned to not need air, but Aquastor 
Malrubius says the spacecraft from Yesod have a projection limitation of 
a few thousand years - after Sev takes his leave of Juturna at the 
flooded Citadel, he immediately steps onto Apu Punchau's pampas in a 
time at least 6400 years previous.
