I'm pretty sure the Green Man is in favour of the New Sun too.
As I recall from earlier discussions on this list, that's far from clear. In his initial appearance he seems to be indifferent to the Sun myth. Later he appears in a confusing scene with Tzadkiel.
He's from the future. He lives by photosynthesis. If he thinks the coming of the New Sun was a bad idea, he's got some major existential hangups to deal with.
