And of those servants who aren't very good, they tend to be improved
by greater service (Incus). Wolfe seems to believe and in fact very
nearly states in canon that good service to even a false god is
sanctifying.
I'm not sure the concept 'Pas is evil' makes much real sense (we can posit
that Typhon was evil, but Typhon is not exactly Pas).
Pas is the creator of the Whorl, which has much good in it, even if, as Silk
animadverts towards the end of _TBotLS_ it also has much evil. And he seems
to be doing his best for it, in his way.
Evil is generally defined as being opposite to good, not as mere
imperfection. The imperfect has evil within it, but it cannot reasonably be
cosidered synonymous with evil.
