Understood. Still, anyone who's read the Gevers interview from 2002 would probably agree that the aggressiveness with which he pursues answers to mysteries is nothing if not off-putting.

To be in the presence of a great author, and only be trying to desperately "go for broke" to get answers to intentional mysteries is more than disrespectful, it's achingly naive.
