Yes, I've read it. The protagonist, Raul, is jealous when his 
time-traveling girlfriend Aenea tells him she has been married and had a 
child. Later he realizes the husband must have been his future self. 
That's a good fit for the "Cassie as the Ambassador's wife" scenario.
