I see. So, the only tax power of government would be to reduce taxes, never to increase them. Great! Power to the people, and to government by, for, and of the people.

Eventually, no one would pay taxes and everyone would have to pay more for everything, so that only the rich could afford a bus trip across town. And then you would probably consider the burden on the people to be lifted.

This is like discussing Newtonian physics with a child who still throws food from her high chair just to watch it fall.

A good practical place to start.

You can only make a new tax if you remove two others: you can only raise a
tax if you reduce other taxes by twice the amount.
