If you can whip up hissy mp3s, I can use Audacity to make them less- 
hissy at the expense of some loss of brightness.

On the other hand, since there are actual musicians on the list, I  
think it's probably a pretty good bet that there's someone around here  
to do it much better than I would be able to.
