Hold on -- the date of the celebration of Christmas was chosen to co-opt 
the Roman holiday of Saturnalia. Almost everyone agrees that could not 
be the real birthday of Jesus -- shepherds are not out with their flocks 
on a mid-winter night. Christmas was moved to the time of the pagan 
holiday, which had very definite astrological and solar connections, of 
course. That doesn't make Christ a solar deity.

As for Easter, the time of year for that comes from the Jewish Passover, 
so that one's close to right. There could be solar associations with 
that holiday, originally. By the way, the Judas kiss is supposed to have 
occurred near Passover (Spring), so the "Sun in Scorpio" speculation is 
nonsense.
