(urth) The Distant Suns of Gene Wolfe

I like to remain optimistic and think that a great
writer can find a market in any period. Were Wolfe
writing right (oh yeah) now as a young man he would
produce something entirely different than the pulp
informed, Tolkien and Graves influenced works we
appreciate. It's faulty logic to try to imagine his
past works as new releases in our present.
