(urth) Shaving Clones

Not a retort, this post was meant to lighten up where I felt I was getting 
too serious. And you have to admit, the many-Severians theory has the virtue 
of absolving Severian of the sin of having intercourse with his own 
grandmother. Of course, whatever it is that he was doing instead would 
probably be quite a sin in its own right, though I'm not sure anyone has 
devised a name for it yet.

Not to mention the ability to bring in anecdotes about Spanish barbers or 
the set of all clones who aren't clones of themselves.

I don't think you deserve a glib or dismissive answer to your actual 
argument, which is why I posted this separately. I'll continue separately 
and on a more serious note tomorrow.
