It's a parallel derivation, not a sequential one.   LITTLE, BIG gets its 
cosmology through the Victorian legend of Fairies, which is derived from the 
diminished Shakespearian version.   THE WIZARD KNIGHT tries with some 
success to synthesise far older streams - Celtic myth, Gnosticism, Nordic 
legend (overwhelminglky important) and of course CS Lewis and Tolkien.
